How Odin works
A deal-lifecycle platform for middle-market M&A. Track every deal from first call to close, with the whole team on the same page.
The deal lifecycle, end to end

Quick start
Six steps, about thirty minutes. Full walkthrough in our getting-started guide.
- 1Sign upGo to odin.txnhub.app/sign-up and create your account. Verify your email, set up two-factor authentication, and you’ll land on the Dashboard with the “Get Started with Odin” checklist. You’re on SOLO with a 14-day no-charge window.
- 2Set up your organizationGo to Settings → Organization. Set your firm Name, upload a Logo (square + landscape), and pick your default privacy stance (Compartmented Mode default). Admin/Owner only.
- 3Set up your scorecard rubric — most important stepGo to Settings → Scorecards. Muninn scores every deal against your rubric — without your firm’s criteria, the output reads like a generic PE template. Edit the default rubric or add new ones for specific industries. Admin/Owner only; multiple Admins supported.
- 4Set up your stage gatesGo to Settings → Approval gates. Configure who votes at each phase transition (L1→L2, L2→L3, L3→L4, L4→Close) and the quorum (one / majority / unanimous). SOLO defaults to Submitter as sole voter; add teammates and the full voting flow activates.
- 5Invite your teamGo to Settings → Team → Invite member. Pick a role — Admin, Team, BD, Partner, IC, or Observer. Each tier includes a seat count (SOLO 1, PRO 4, PRO+ 8, MAX 15); additional seats may be purchased at $99/seat/month above the included count.
- 6Enter your first dealClick + New Deal on the Pipeline page. Three entry modes: upload a CIM (Muninn extracts the basics), fill in the 3-step manual form, or Quick add (name + source + notes). Pick buy-side or sell-side at step 1. For the full step-by-step on buy-side deals, see the Buy-Side Walkthrough. Sell-side walkthrough is being revamped — coming soon.
Core features
Every feature available at every tier — no paywall on the basics.
Deals
Every opportunity in one place. Track financials, company info, valuation, status, and current phase from screening through close. Edit inline or in a full drawer.
Pipeline
A Kanban-style view of every deal grouped by phase. Drag to move, filter by industry, owner, or thesis. See your portfolio state at a glance.
Investment Theses
Define the criteria your fund cares about — industries, revenue bands, multiples, geographic focus — and tag deals against them. Ensures every deal maps back to your strategy.
Huginn (chat) & Muninn (deep analysis)
Two AI engines on every tier. Huginn answers deal-specific questions in chat. Muninn reads your CIMs end-to-end and produces structured findings — scored, tagged, cited — that ground every future Huginn answer for free. Muninn also runs in multi-workstream coordinated mode for IC-grade memos that span multiple diligence streams.
Team & Roles
Invite teammates with role-based access: Admin, Team, BD, Partner, IC, Observer. Each tier includes a seat count (SOLO 1, PRO 4, PRO+ 8, MAX 15, ENTERPRISE custom); every role consumes a seat. Additional seats are $99 per seat per month.
Tasks & Activities
Assign work to deal team members with due dates. A timeline captures every note, call, meeting, milestone, and phase change so nothing falls through the cracks.

Five tiers. Per-org pricing. Annual plans are 12-for-10 (~17% off).

Frequently asked questions
Who is Odin for?▾
Private-equity firms, independent sponsors, SBICs, BDCs, family offices, search funds, and corporate development teams running buy-side or sell-side M&A deals in the middle market. If you manage a pipeline of deals with a team, it's for you.
Is there a free tier?▾
Yes. SOLO is free through Dec 31, 2026 — $99/month after. Every feature available, just smaller quotas: 1 seat included ($99/month each additional), 5 active deals, 200 Huginn turns / 6,500 Muninn credits per month, 1 GB storage. Right starting point for independent sponsors and search funds evaluating the product.
How does pricing work?▾
Pricing is per organization, not per seat. SOLO is free through Dec 31, 2026 — $99/month after. PRO is $999/mo, PRO+ is $1,999/mo, MAX is $4,999/mo. Each tier includes a seat count (1/4/8/15) — additional seats are $99/seat/month on every tier, and every role consumes a seat. ENTERPRISE is sales-led with custom pricing. Annual plans are 12-for-10 (~17% off). Founding-member promo: enter code FOUNDER50 at checkout for 50% off your first 6 months (monthly) or year 1 (annual) on PRO/PRO+/MAX. First 100 customers only; expires Dec 31, 2026.
How do seats work?▾
Each tier includes a seat count: SOLO 1, PRO 4, PRO+ 8, MAX 15, ENTERPRISE custom. Every role — Admin, Team, BD, Partner, IC, Observer — consumes one seat. Additional seats above your tier's included count are $99 per seat per month. Seats can be added or removed any time; charges prorate.
Is my deal data secure?▾
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit, stored in a SOC 2–compliant database, and isolated per organization via row-level security. No customer data is used to train machine-learning models. Full detail: see the Privacy Policy.
Can I export my data?▾
Yes. Deal and contact exports are available as CSV. If you close your account, you have 30 days to export before data is deleted.
What are Huginn and Muninn?▾
Two AI engines available on every tier. Huginn is the chat assistant — fast Q&A about a deal, grounded in your data. Muninn is the deep-analysis engine — runs on a deal to extract structured findings (scorecard scores, tagged risks, cited financials, comparables) that Huginn then references for free on every follow-up. Muninn also runs in multi-workstream coordinated mode for IC-grade memos (Full FDD, IC Memo, Cross-Workstream Risk Synthesis). The split keeps AI costs predictable: Muninn runs charge against your monthly credit grant, Huginn turns are cheap because they reuse Muninn's findings.
What if I run out of Muninn credits?▾
Credit packs top up your Muninn balance for the month. They never expire and stack on top of your monthly tier grant. $20 → 100 credits, $50 → 300 credits, $100 → 700 credits. Available on every tier including SOLO. Buy from Settings → Billing.
What is Initial Analysis vs. Full Analysis?▾
Initial Analysis is the fast first-pass — fills L1+L2 scorecard scores against your rubric. Charges Huginn turns, no Muninn credits. Full Analysis (the bundled Muninn run) refreshes L1+L2 with deeper rationale and adds L3+L4, plus produces tags, findings, question bank, and customer concentration. Charges Muninn credits. Both run from the same "Run Muninn" button on the deal page; pick the tier you need.
What is Compartmented Mode?▾
A per-deal toggle that excludes a deal's findings from your firm's shared pattern memory. The deal still works fully — Muninn extracts findings, Huginn answers questions, exports generate. What's disabled is the deal's contribution to firm-wide aggregates and embeddings. Use it on deals whose NDAs restrict AI cross-aggregation. Toggle from the deal-edit drawer's Privacy section; org-wide default in Settings → Organization. Available on all tiers.
How does billing work?▾
Monthly or annual, per organization. Annual plans are 12-for-10 (~17% off). Seats can be added or removed any time — charges prorate. Plans can be upgraded or downgraded; downgrades take effect at the next renewal.
Can I import historical deals from a previous system?▾
Yes. Bootstrap import bulk-loads prior deals into your firm's intelligence layer so Muninn can reference them when evaluating new opportunities. $1,000 per 10-deal batch (multiples of 10), available on every paid tier with no cap on batches. Email sales@txnhub.app to schedule.
Do you offer a free trial of the paid tiers?▾
SOLO is indefinite at no cost, so you can evaluate the core product immediately. For PRO+ or MAX trials, email sales@txnhub.app. ENTERPRISE is bespoke — book a 30-minute call via the Calendly link below (or email sales@txnhub.app if you'd rather start over email) to discuss custom workflows and pricing.
Can I invite my whole team?▾
Yes. Settings → Team → Invite member. Pick a role — Admin, Team, BD, Partner, IC, or Observer. Every role consumes a seat from your tier's included count. Additional seats above the included count are $99/month each.
What phases does a deal move through?▾
Screening → Diligence → Valuation → Execution → Integration (buy-side) or Separation (sell-side) → Monitoring. You can override the phase on any deal at any time.
Can I archive old deals without losing the data?▾
Yes. Archive is a separate action from deal outcome (Active / Closed Won / Closed Lost / etc.) — archiving files the deal away without overwriting its final status. You can also configure auto-archive to file terminal-state deals after a threshold.
Who operates Odin?▾
Odin is a product of TxnHub LLC, a Georgia limited liability company. Legal contact: legal@txnhub.app. Privacy / data-subject requests: privacy@txnhub.app.
What is the best M&A deal management software for independent sponsors?▾
Odin is built specifically for independent sponsors, SBICs, BDCs, lower-middle-market PE firms, family offices, and search funds — teams that need institutional-grade M&A workflow without institutional-grade headcount or budget. Competitors like DealCloud target large-cap PE and price accordingly (typically $50K+/year minimum); Odin starts free and scales with seats. See a full side-by-side at /compare.
What is a good DealCloud alternative for smaller PE firms?▾
Odin. DealCloud is built for large-cap private equity firms and investment banks with IT teams; Odin is built for the 1–50 person firm running 10–200 deals per year. Odin includes deal-aware AI chat, scorecards, and buyer tracking on paid tiers, and has a permanent SOLO tier so small firms can evaluate without budget approval.
Is Affinity a good fit for M&A deal tracking?▾
Affinity is excellent for VC funds and relationship-driven investing where the relationship is the primary unit. For M&A — where the transaction itself is what you're tracking through phases (screening → diligence → valuation → execution → close) — Odin's deal-centric model is a better fit. If your firm runs both VC and M&A, many teams use Affinity for pipeline sourcing and Odin for actual deal execution.
Can Odin replace my team's M&A deal tracking spreadsheet?▾
Yes. Spreadsheets break down around the 20-deal or 2-team-member mark — no shared state, no role-based access, no audit trail, and no way to keep diligence tasks from slipping. Odin's SOLO tier includes the full deal CRM, pipeline, investment theses, team management, tasks, and activity timeline — enough to retire the spreadsheet entirely for firms with up to 5 active deals on SOLO (more on paid tiers).
Does Odin support sell-side deal workflows?▾
Sell-side mandates are supported in the product today — you can create a sell-side deal, build a data room, track buyers, and manage IOI/LOI evaluation. The detailed sell-side walkthrough is being revamped — coming soon. If you're running sell-side mandates today, email sales@txnhub.app for hands-on guidance.
How does Odin handle CIMs and deal documents?▾
You upload documents per deal (CIMs, teasers, financial models, LOIs). Muninn — the deep-analysis engine on every tier — reads the documents end-to-end on demand and produces structured findings (scorecard scores, tagged risks, cited financials, key quotes) that Huginn then cites for free on every chat follow-up.
Is Odin suitable for family offices?▾
Yes. Family offices sourcing direct investments benefit from Odin's deal-centric workflow and investment thesis tagging. Pick the tier that fits your team size — PRO+ (8 seats) is a common starting point for offices with a mix of active analysts and observing principals.
Does Odin work for corporate development teams?▾
Yes. Corporate development teams pursuing strategic acquisitions in the $5M–$250M revenue band use Odin for deal tracking, diligence coordination, and post-close integration. The investment thesis feature maps naturally to corporate strategy pillars, and the separation/integration phase of a deal captures post-close value creation work.
